[Abk. IBR, dt. »bildbasierte Vervollständigung«], Verfahren zur Herstellung fotorealistischer computergenerierter Bilder (Rendering). Basis sind dabei eine Reihe von Fotos, die reale Objekte aus verschiedenen Winkeln betrachten. Mittels Image-based Rendering können nun daraus weitere Ansichten berechnet werden, ohne dass dafür die gesamte geometrische Form der Objekte berechnet werden muss.
